Thomas's Eagle Scout Project was to organize interviews about 25 veterans for inclusion in the Veteran's History Project at the Library of Congress. He interviewed participants from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and the War in Afghanistan. Many of these members of the Armed Forces had never told their stories before. He also copied memorabilia from those who had served and submitted these recordings and materials as part of The Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center at the United States Library of Congress.
