For his Eagle project Eli focused on conservation by planting a pollinator garden along the Green Bay Trail in Highland Park. Working closely and collaboratively with the Highland Park City Forrester, Eli studied native plants, climate conditions, soil conditions, plant growth patterns (to determine layout and spacing for what he was planting), and weather/climate.
